Complaint Review: cross country bank

i did not even apply for a credit card. all of a sudden i start getting calls saying that i have one. sometimes when i call them back they cant even find my so-called account.

i have tried to get the account number but have been unsuccessful at that too. it's like i only exist when they need money. they have aggravated me enough and i need to know what to do? if anyone has any advice please let me know. thank you

I would recommend you to contact the Credit Bureaus, reporting a possible FRAUD. If there is a card on your name, one of these bureaus must have record of it. Call them, and mention that Cross Country harrass you without giving you the account number.

If any of them have Cross Country Card in your file, call 1-877-ID-THEFT (438-4338) to get advices what to do. Or check this site for more info:

If the credit bureaus do not know anything about your Cross Country card, you might try to tell this to the next guy who calling you. Ask the guy for an address or fax number where you can send the statement, that you do not have an account.

If nothing work, you might try to call the FDIC consumer assistance center for advice.
