I have had a similar expierence with Cross Country as indicated by other posters. The ceaseless calls are annoying.

I saw 2 posts by an "ACS", apparently a Cross Country Employee who stated that she only knew the company to call an individual twice a day. "ACS" was probably stating things as she knows them, however, our household gets 4 to 5 calls a day on average, and sometimes more.

Several months ago, the calls had become consistantly twice during the day to home, twice to work, and at least 4 times at night. In the afternoon, our 16 year old, learning disabled son is home by himself. One man from the company called and got ugly with our child about writing down the phone number for the call to be returned.

My son indicated that he had written it down and wanted to leave it at that, since his dislexia (sp?) embarrases him. The man goaded him and shamed him into reading the number, to the point my son called me at work in tears.

The next morning at 7:15am a woman from CCB called as I was trying to get ready for work. I told her I knew it wasn't her fault, but that I was highly upset over the aforementioned episode and that I didn't appreicate their "gestapho tactics". She appologized profusely, "made a note", and the calls calmed down for a bit.

Fastforward to the past month: Again, we are up to 4 to 5 calls a day, and no, I don't mean on my caller ID, I mean actual calls from the company I or my family hears with their ears (who knows how many others might be them!). They call repeatedly at work, I've tried the faxing the request to cease that and telling them over the phone- it doesn't stop.

There was an evening when they had just spoken to me here at home, turned right around and called my spouse's work, then called me here at home again about 30 minutes after I spoke with my spouse.

"ACS" you seem sincere, and I have spoken with some nice people there, but the majority seem to not care. You need to inform your supervisors that the overabundance of calls doesn't help your company any. As well as, calls on Sundays are unwelcome by ANYONE! I believe some states have statutes against Sunday calls, but I'm no law expert, so I could be incorrect.

This company should be avoided. They do add a HUGE amount of extra or bogus fees to your bill. Also, this "over-the-limit fee" kills me. Why do they even let you charge over the limit (I did this one time by mistake) as well as, if they cause you to go over the limit with one bogus fee, why should I be liable for another?

Such companies need to be avoided. It's not worth the headache! I'm also discouraged by a previous poster's account of trying to cancel his account. This makes me look to the future with forboding.
