I worked at ACS, the collections part of Cross Country Bank for a short period from 10/01-01/02 and I became aware of several things that were not only immoral but were illegal. Initially I thought I was just going to have a collections job but I realized much more. From the top to the bottom the place is corrupt. They state that there target consumer is the "high risk" person who needs a second chance. Then you come to find out that this is a 100% "fee" based company designed to continue to generate income from the unsuspecting public. They claim in training their reps that they are not governed by any Fair Collections Acts because they are a 1st party collector and not a 3rd party one. I witnessed people getting harrassed and lied to as well as minipulated and scammed. When I refused to behave like this I was reprimanded and disciplined. This happened several times until I finally told them ALL what I thought about them. I am now looking for someway to help others who got caught up with this Company. I never participated in their tactics which is why I never was recieved by the company. Someone please let me know how I can help someone. I am a good person who got hired by a bad company.
