Complaint Review: Cross Country Bank

Ok, I am really starting to get spooked here. I have paid CCB with my bank info over the phone. Now after reading many, many stories about them taking money out of checking accounts without permission I'm scared. The card is my husbands, and he is not on my checking account. Can they really take money from my account without me giving them permission.

The last phone call was a nightmare. The guy told me that my husband needed to lower his standards and get a job at McDonalds to pay the card balance. We went from a 60,000 income to 26,000 income, supporing two adults, mother with diabeties (no insurance), and child support on three children. These people really don't give a care about their clients.

During this last call I informed the man that my attourney would be contacting them, and that they didn't need to call me anymore, he laughed and wanted my attourney's name. I told him that I was not to speak with him and would not give him the attourney's name.

There is no attourney of course,(an attourney couldn't get in contact with anyone either), but the calls have stopped for two days, thats a plus.

Please let me know what the best action to take is to insure they don't draft my checking account.
