In 1997 I had an account with Cross Country Bank. When I lost my job I requested they close the account which was at $350. They did not close it until they added interest, late and other bogus fees to make the new total $720.

Since then they have sold the account to 4 different collection agencies and reported it twice themselves. What should have been one negative account for $350, turned out to be 5 negative accounts ranging from $720-$821.

Because of their unethical business practices I have been refuse employment opportunities and mortgage financing.

Don't be there victim!!! I have hired an attorney and found out that this is normal business practice for them. If they have done this to you, you could also be entitled to restitution for damages caused by such outlandish practices. Good luck and steer clear of Cross Country Bank.
