Cross Country Home Warranty Scam- Rip OFF- Do not know how they team up With My Mortgage Company Sunrise, Florida
When i newly bought my house in 2006, I was solicited by a telemarketer who offer a trial of this home warranty and that to expect all the information by mail for me to review and to try for thirty days. I never received any information about the trial or anything that was promised. I forget about it as i did not get anything as was promised by the telemarketer. Within then to now I never received any renewal information or any information from Cross Country.
In June of 2009 when i decided to do a modification my mortgage since my mortgage payment is too high i saw this home warranty of 39.95 monthly is escrow along with my taxes and Home Insurance warranty into my monthly payment since August of 2006. When i investigated this they told me that i consented and they have me on a tape that they played for me to hear i was talking to the telemarketer.
Countrywide did not had any satisfaction when i reported it and Cross Country Home Services said that i can do what i need to do as they cannot refund or give no satisfaction that they have my consent on tape by a telemarketer. My house is three years old and i had many of repairs and replacement that would have covered by a warranty Service. I spend plenty of money using company to replacing my AC Unit and fixing many things from electrical to plumbing etc. I had never call this company at no time since i knew nothing about them until June of 2009. I would never expect that countrywide would let them bill be through them without my consent? I did not know that this was escrow in my countrywide and how they allowed it.
I am sure that many people get caught with this scam. I want something to be done about this
