Crossings Book Club Dishonest and Unethical Business Practices Rantoul, Illinois
After signing up for this "Christian" book club I had a period of time to purchase 3 books at their normal price to fullfill a commitment. I did so, I purchased 3 books for a toal price with shipping of just under $30.
But do I pay just $30 for my books, no they say I owe them $55 because I did not meet the commitment in time, no waring however from them. So I have to pay $55 to them (at least if I pay that I get 3 books at no additinal charges beyond the $55 but thats still about $25 more that the books should cost all because they could not send a letter saying my commitiment time was running out.
But why would they $25 times all their customers is alot of extra money they make plus they save on sending out notices.
That is such an unethical business practice, and from a "Christian" book club...no its people and companies like this that give Christians a bad name. Now I am out $25 of my money because of their greed, they remind me of the Tax Collectors in Jesus' time who overchraged people for taxes and pocketed the diffrence.
