This AM a young man named Matthew Taylor and a "plump" girl named Denise sold my elderly mother a subscription to 2 magazines for $142.00. After my sister called to report she thought it was a scam & they got cash. I called mom and had her give me the companies information, sellers information, anything she could provide. Matthew told her they would "get more points" if she paid cash, so using her quad cane she went to the BR to get cash. Meanwhile they had access to her checkbook left laying on the table when she went to get cash. Then they taped a note to her door as they left so she wouldn't "be bothered by anyone else sellling her magazines " today. I never saw the note but my sister reports it said something to the effect of "easy mark". Local sheriff's dept. now involved and the KS aAttorney General's office to investigate. Bank account closed and a new one reopened. Investigation on-line into this company reveals multiple complaints and links the company to scam and fraud in multiple states, and the specific name Matthew Taylor in particular has come up more than once. Of course no one will answer the company phone that has also been linked to a monument company!
