Crown Communities US D.R. Horton - Crown Realty Not a Reputable Company Conyers Georgia
Crown Communities hides behind the Warranty Booklet they give out at the time of closing, and the paperwork that is signed by the homeowner at the time of their walk thru, rather than taking responsibility for their product and holding the contractors/subcontractors accountable for the work that has been performed. The fact that they have opted to hire contractors that hire cheap workers that have no work ethic, creates a negative experience between the homeowner and Crown. It is obvious that there are some issues that cannot always be detected at the time of a walk thru that Crown should include in their home warranty program.
For instance, we closed on our home at the end of July 2015, and there had not been any rain for quite a long time, so there was no way to know that the landscaping was not graded properly until it rained in mid-August and we discovered that the water does not drain because of the poor grading of the soil. Or that because the sod was freshly installed and had not yet rooted to the poorly graded soil this has created a “lumpy,” lawn that has areas where the lawn dips which creates pockets of water after it rains, as well as, poor drainage.
As for the concrete it is not only cracked in two areas; the driveway and the garage, but it was items that were brought to their attention during our walk-thru. At the time of the walk thru, Crown did make repairs to those areas. However, those repairs are what are now broken concrete in the garage and the driveway. In other words, those repairs did not last because of the poor workmanship involved in their attempt to correct the problem.
In addition to all of the above issues we were also informed that the different color bricks that were installed on one section of our house will not be corrected. It’s no wonder there are so many negative reviews about this company!
I would not recommend Crown Communities – take your business somewhere else.
