I just bought a 06 Accord EXL from Crown Honda of Greensboro, NC

I was told when I bought the car you got a great deal but we have a 110 price guarantee, if you find a lower price within 7 days we will refund 110% of the difference. Well that was worth nothing because the next day I received a internet quote for an identical car from another local Honda dealer for 800.00 less. I went to the lot and verified the car and the price. I called Crown and was told I needed a signed buyers order from the other dealer.

The other dealer refused to do this because they do dealer trades with Crown and did not want to upset them. The General manager from Crown said he could not help me. I then found another dealer with a lower price that was willing to give me the signed buyers order. Well then crowns general manger said this order had to include my trade??? I ask how could the other dealer include my trade when Crown had my trade. He said I should have thought about that before I made the deal. It is crap that they use this tactic to sell you a car but them make it impossible to collect.

Price quoted from Crown and other dealer without trade, trade came after price agreement

I will agree with this, but the price I paid from Crown was agreed upon before the trade was mentioned and the 2 lower prices I received from 2 other Honda dealers were given without knowing I had already bought a car

As much as I hate car dealer. it's easy for one car dealer to low ball another, after the fact. Without figuring your trade-in, you really have no idea what they would have charged you for the vehicle. They may quoted you $800 less for the honda, but "given" you $2000 less for you trade-in. Went to a jeep dealer on Sat. with my son-in-law. Bluebonnet "gave" him $2000 MORE for his trade-in AND quoted him $2000 LESS then ancira for a better equiped jeep. Alltold it was about a $5000 better deal then ancira's.
