i just currently quit working for CRST for several reasons and most of them are for the same reasons that i have seen others report. now i understand everyone has to start somewhere but d**n this is out of line. i was forced to stay out on the road for 6 weeks, went thru 4 co drivers. the last one being a crazy female that should have never been allowed behind the wheel. when i talked to my dispatcher about this was told to deal with it and run the truck anyway. when i told them i was out of legal drive time told me to drive the truck anyway or lose my job. the equipment was falling apart and when i put it in the shop for repairs nothing was ever done. and now i am stuck with this contract that is almost preventing me from getting another job. the thing is if they treated thier drivers better as well as thier equipment they would be able to keep drivers. but it is all about using them and abusing them. for 2 months i was lucky if i brought home 600 bucks for all the stuff they was taking out. a pee test cost me over 100 bucks and a new dot test that i did not need cost me over 120 bucks. not to mention all the other excuses they used. the very first month out they took 424 dollars and can not explain to me what it was for or why they took it all i ever got was we are looking into it. if you are considering going to work for them TURN AROUND and RUN!!!!! you will go broke, you will have your life in danger with another driver or the truck. RUN RUN RUN. the worst mistake i ever made was going to work for that company.

The crst "salesman" will paint a picture of beauty so he can get another notch in his belt. I work for a ltl trucking company. I got my training from Crst but but never went with them...... After they stamped my permit into a cdl license I abandoned ship to run locale more lucrative ventures. These over the road companies need the driver seats full to make a buck, while you pay to sit in that seat. That is why there is a 87% one year turn over rate in these companies. Stay where you r or hook up with a locale company or ltl company. Trust me I have seen the bad and it gets worse.........

I currently have a CDL but no recent experience in the last few years about 3. I was told I would have to go to a refresher course and then go out with a trainer for 28 days. I was told that this could happen as soon as I was done with the one week refersher course that a trainer would be waiting for me as soon as I was done with orientation. My question to you guys is, is this true and are the problem with CRST as a whole or is this the company as a whole. I live and can drive every morning to the terminal so I dont want to pay for the hotel room they speak of but they want me to pay for the drug test because I just renew my medical what a month ago my CDL is currently up to date but when it comes to these companys insurance they wont let you solo. I call the recuriter back and ask him am I going to be charge for the refresher which is one week in total and he told me yes $550.00 which will be paid by my first weeks pay check. I understand this part but I want to make sure I can get out and make some miles. I currently make alright money and would give it up if need to go back to trucking if I new I was going right out for the 28 days with a trainer and also going to have a team partner right away which I was told I would have one. I dont want to get there and then find out hey you have to wait because we have no trainers left right now or we cant find anyone for you to team with. Please reply to this so I will know we our currently looking at mid Aug on and by the way I have no wife no kids or anything of that nature.
