About 2 weeks ago i recieved a letter that my account was settled and i owe over $3000 in charge backs. this is unbelieveable because i left over $2000 in chains, straps, binders, edge protectors etc on the trailer and in the truck. some items i purchased on my own. you know its amazing how some of these companies take advantage of us as drivers knowing we need to work. Now i guess if i dont find a way to pay they will put it on my DAC or credit report to further my hardship. under my lease there is full coverage warranty and is not possible to have a truck in the shop for repairs only not to fix it unless you have motives get this 2 weeks and 5 shops and no repair, but lets charge the time to the driver for that they could have just kicked me out of the truck, at least i wouldn't have the debt, right???

In your lease agreement, it states that if you do not turn your equipment in when terminating your lease, the equipment is listed as "missing". They will recover loses from missing equipment from your final settlement.

I have seen in Birmingham (as well as Rockport and Eldridge) when a trailer is left sitting with equipment on it, that equipment is often pillaged by other drivers.

So, to play Devil's Advocate, maybe they charged you for the equipment because there was no equipment on the trailer or in the truck. There's a possibility that a couple of drivers took everything and left you and Malone with nothing.

Only thing is, Malone will get theirs on your back.

Next time, I'd make sure that Rodney, Larry or Laura check your equipment in, and you get a receipt before just throwing the keys at them.

You gotta Cover your @$$!
