Crucial.com Does not accept international order despite claims on their website Internet

I ordered some RAM from this company, after carefully checking that they would accept my order.
According to their 'helpful' page here:

They do accept orders from Singapore.  However, after waiting for several days and then following up with two emails and two phones, it turns out they do not actually make any effort to honour the terms on that page:

They replied with:

confirmed from our credit department that we are requiring prepayments from Singapore due to security reasons as this time.  It is not being changed online because it's not an official change, it's just for the time being.  I apologize for the hassle and confusion.


What a waste of my time.  I recommend using another company instead.
