Crystal Investment and Real Estate Ltd deception and abandonment Essex United Kingdom
My husband and I bought a property in August 2012 from ASM Holding LLC in Michigan based on the advertoria sent to us by CRYSTAL INVESTMENT (UK Based) who acted as the marketing agent, the advertoria states that the property yearly income is $10200 which is $850 per month (see attached evidence). We were also told that it is a newly refurbished property with a Section 8 tenant in place. We also signed a 12 month rental protection document.
By October the property management company informed us of a leaking bath tub and we spent $250 to fix it. This was fine with us, a month later, we were told that the property failed a section 8 inspection, we contacted the agent (Crystal Investment) that connected us with the seller and they contacted the seller who assured us that he will fix the property. We found out at that point that the property was not refurbished as claimed. It took about a month and 10 days to get the property fixed and section 8 refused to pay rentals for 1 month and 10 days based on the fact that it failed inspection and that the tenant also refused to pay her part of the rental.
We contacted the marketing agent again (who claimed that they provide after sales care to their customers) and asked for the rental to be paid by the seller since there is a rental protection in place but the agent asked us to contact the seller directly that the agreement signed was between the seller and us. We felt very disappointed and tried to contact the seller but he is not responding to mails.
On one hand we lost rental for a month and 10 days and as if it was not bad enough, section 8 finally paid the accumulated rentals and we got the biggest shock of our lives. The property was tenanted at $665 as against $850.
My husband and I feel we have been deceived and the seller is not responding to mails, we are seeking help to get the rental protection and rents that was displayed on the advert that made us to invest in the property in the first place. We took a loan from the bank to invest in this property and we are paying back with interest hoping that the property will yield interest, we are very sad to be treated this way. We would like others to know about these deceptive acts of Crystal Investment and ASM Holding and not to have any dealings with them.
