Crystal Production Group or Stan Hayes hired my services as a film editor to work on one of his projets. On day one, he talked down to be, trying to belittle me and verbally abuse me. On the 2nd day, I recieved more of the same, until the point where he started to yell at me and demand me to do what he wanted. At that point, I had had enough. I told him, it was time for me to leave. I worked for this individual for 2 days for a total of 8.5 hours which he had agreed to pay $25.00 per hour. When i texted him asking if he agreed upon the hours, he replied he did not and he was not going to pay me the full hours I worked. This person is a complete amateur in everything he does. He is shady and a cheat and thief. His so called prodcution office is completely nasty and ghetto and doesnt even have a computer to edit videos which he supposedly does.
All real world clients beware, his work is completely sub-par. All individuals approached by him to work for him - Run far far away.

First and foremost, Michael English was a freelancer and was hired through a company that represented him, Elance.com. Michael responded to a client question in error. Later, I took him aside where no one could hear and asks him to not answer for the director t the client. He agreed. There was no yelling or belittling. The next day, Michael came into our offices for editing. He did not know how to transfer the existing footage to the needed editing format. There were three different instructions that I gave him that he did not do. Finally when I sat with him to help get the project back on track, Michael said, “Well I could do that, or I could just leave.” I agreed that he could leave. Not one minute of the 20 minutes of programming got edited while Michael was there.
Ultimately he was paid for 3.5 hours where he accomplished nothing on the project. When I disagreed with his suggested hours (2 more hours), he promptly entered a “dispute” message to his company, Elance.com. This automatically put the process into lockdown approximately for 10 days. He placed this report the day of his first contact before the 10 days . He continued to demand payment even though we could not pay him until Elance went through their process. He was booked for 8 hours and left after 6 hours. This is all about $50. We have been in business for over 29 years. There has NEVER been a valid complaint or dispute with any of our freelancers or clients. Our offices are professionally cleaned 6 nights a week. We have two MAC computers loaded with Final Cut Pro 7. Michael was allowed to use his computer for convenience and if he needed to take it home to continue working.
