Today I open my package from eBay member: consumersolutions only to find that the new Motorola RAZR was in fact a used phone with a broken headset speaker. I was shocked and started doing some homework on this seller. I was astonished by the amount of negitive feedback by buyers that all said the same thing. Why did I not see this coming? I am an awesome consumer and I got took by my own lack of reaserch. Never Again. This is a detail of the Ripoff:

eBay Item number: 140138304777

1: Item was described as New & Never Opened. Item was sent opened in a small shipping box. It was scrached from top to bottom, The color on the battery cover (back plate) did not even match the phone. To top it all of the headset speaker did not even work. I had to put it on speaker phone to hear anything.

2. Item was described to work with Cingular/AT&T. After charging the battery and installing my sim card from my old phone. I got a connection, but that was it. Internet would not connect, & Messageing did not work. After reaserching all day about this problem I have found that unless the phone is "branded" to a particular carrier, full functionallity will not happen due to internal software settings of the phone. I am not a computer programmer & the items description made no reference to this incompatibility.

3. Considering that this seller had so much negitive feedback and that from talking to other members that bought from this company. I can only conclude that I will never see a refund. I will be damned if I will send my busted used phone back to them without a refund first. I don't see that happening.

Would somebody please shut these guys down. It is outright fraud what they are doing. And the worst part is that people are just bidding and bidding on this members items. Unless eBay does something about this seller people like me are just going to have to go through the aggrivation of having to deal with a Ripoff artist.

I have contacted my local Consumers Affairs Division and am in the process of documenting, photographing, and obtaining a notorized document attesting to the condition of this product by an industry professional. I know this will end up costing my more money, but I don't care. It is our civil responsability to stop this from happening to others. Business like this has no place in Corporate America. I don't care how big or small the company. Justice must prevail.
