I received the standard letter from CSS, reporting that I was approved with a credit purchase limit of $6,500.00. Prior to call their 800 number, I checked with the BBB of Sothern Nevada.

The BBB report shows that CCS is a mail order company which offers to sell a card that can be used to order merchandise through the company's catalog. However, the complaint history indicates a pattern of customer complaints relating to the company's delivery of goods or services, selling practices, unfulfilled contracts, and unsatisfactory performance. The BBB report also shows that they have processed 706 reports since August 2003 and that the Bureau has had two or more unanswered complaints.

I asked the woman on the receiving end of their 800 number, "What does your BBB record show?" I had to ask the question three times for her to understand. She had placed me on hold to have a supervisor coach her the answer, "We have had very few complaints compared to the thousands of customers throughout the U.S." I could tell that she was being coached and told her that I was not interested in their service.

WARNING: Always check with the BBB before doing business of this nature. If something seems to be too good to be true, then it is most likely too good to be NOT true.
