We are a non-profit. Ordered chairs from CT Direct on 8/1/11 for $1,777 and paid with credit card. Told we'd receive them in 2 weeks. No chairs. Told they were delayed and would arrive by 8/26. Called on 8/30. Told that the chairs were delayed and would arrive by early next week. Every excuse about whereabouts of the chairs - another state, different warehouse, etc.; can get them in grey, but not blue. I told him we were putting the credit card transaction in dispute. He said that he'd credit our account within 2 business days to avoid dispute. Didn't happen. Also emailed shipping tracking # to me for the chairs; the # was phony. Eventually said would Fedex refund check to us, since order so delayed. Check arrived on 9/6 and it bounced on 9/20/11. Called credit card company and put transaction into dispute. Researched this company online with BBB and other sites. Found numerous complaints very similar to ours where merchandise is promised and never received, bounced refund checks, etc. Fortunately, we used a credit card and filed our dispute within 60 days, so we should be able to get out money back. I've read of many non-profits that haven't gotten a refund and one business that's taking Larry to court. Larry is a very dishonest and disreputable individual. This is no a legitimate business.

This is the last time I will respond this this complaint. We have a different take on the "60 day" issue since all major processing companies will go well beyond 60 days if products were not delivered, Customer could have disputed the charge anytime. Hopefully we can move ahead. We have admitted our error in this situation but here was never an intent to extend so we would not have to pay as the customer has implied.

Of course all the money was refunded - because the credit card company found our complaint to be legitimate. Larry's explanation sounds very innocent. How does he explain the bounced refund check? He had originally told us he would credit our account, but never did.  Of course he didn't want to do that, because we actually would've gotten our money back. Instead he sends a bad check and tries to drag out the process until we're beyond the 60 day credit card dispute period. He never offered any documentation indicating that the shipment was delayed; he just offered bad tracking numbers and a bad check.

Explanation - Customer is Correct

In this case it was our fault. We have the documentation that the trucker DHE lost the
freight and it never tracked in. I would be glad to provide the documenation. The net
result is the customer did not get the chairs in a timely fashion.
We offered to refund through the credit card and in hindsight should have just issed a credit.
All the funds were returned.
