Complaint Review: CT Discounters

 I receive Travel Discounts weekly via fax in my office.  Normally I would throw them out knowing they are to good to be true.  I've desperately been wanting to travel but normally can not afford it so I decided to take a chance and make the call.  A nice man by the name of Simon answered and seemed to be very knowledgeable with all my questions as I was point blank about not wanting to be scammed.  Well, it turns out I've been scammed.  On September I agreed to pay $286 for a 2 night 3 day trip to Las Vegas for which they withdrew from my account.  I was promised I would receive a packet in the mail which I have not received yet.  I've called them several times requesting to speak with Simon but he is never there.  I am then referred to another number 866-569-0547 to request the package and they have told me twice that they would email it to me but I have received nothing.  I called it again today requesting the package and now they tell me they don't do that it's another number 800-861-7313.  Sandra was the lady I spoke with and she was trying to get me to pay the $69 which I refused to pay and told her why.  I have called three different times now and each time have asked the name of the company, the first time it was CTD Discounts, second time it was CT Discounters and this time it was Corporate Travel Discounters.  I told Sandra I feel like I am getting scammed asked where she was located she said Michigan but the other office was out of Cincinnati Ohio.  I should have gone with my first instinct about this but like I said earlier, I desperately wanted to travel and and Simon seemed very knowledgable.  When I told him about my concern that I didn't want to get scammed he mentioned to me that my bank would assure that I didn't.  I feel betrayed, I didn't have $286 to just blow like that, I had to save for that as it was.  How do these people sleep at night or look at themselves in the mirror every day?
