I appreciate big business and for-profit education right now is just that. I've been in the financial industry foralmost fifteenyears and financial aid for over five. However working CTU's financial aid departmentwas horrific in every sense imaginable.

CEC is running CTU without managers. Their hierarchy is Director and Associate Director then.. everyone else. And yes, this is literal... Everyone else. If a student has a financial aid complaint they speak to a Team Lead. Are there any students who are familiar with this process? Do any of you recall the assembly line that becomes due when your grandchildren have finally learned to drive? Please laugh, it'll keep you from crying.

It would be great to talk about the positive core, what was good about CTU. However the only good I viewed were the employee consumers and student borrowers who patronize them anyway. From training to front line customer service this institution needsserious structural help and steadfast leadership. Thanks to lax government regulations my ex-colleagues still have jobs. CTU is more than a bad actor, they're being lead by a drunkenconglomerate without the proper leadership skills to listen and follow those in the field. Employees consume more stress and backlashthan should be allowed in a 'financial aid advisor' position.

I'd say poor student borrowers, but choice trumps complaint when we've witnessed the mortgage crisis debacle in 2008. Just say no if you don't have enough self or federal student loan knowledge. Seek counselfrompeople like me who've studied the industry profusely just to find companies don't want experienced knowledgable candidates. They want dummies. It equates to job protection and profit projection. Don't be offended either just know when to stop fighting, turn the other cheek and tell someone about your experience.
