CTU Online Colorado Technical University Rip Off Internet, Colorado
I attended CTU Online for two years to obtain my Associates Degree in Medical Billing and Coding. I had several math, art, and computer courses. I have recently graduated and I know nothing of Medical Billing and Coding. I know that I cannot pass the licensing exam because I do not have the knowledge needed. This was supposed to be taught by CTU. I now owe well over $25,000 in student loans and CTU refuses to give tuition forgiveness. They keep telling me to " attend their employment help" but this seminar only helps you create resumes. You have to communicate with several different people and retell your story/issue each time because no one knows what is going on and you talk with new people each time. I would not recommend this college to anyone.

This report is not true. I am currently in the program and have not nor do I have any art classes in this degree program. There is one math course and the only "computer" courses that are in this degree program are about Electronic Health Records which is completely relevant to the program. I have had several coding courses which require us to abstract and code things from a medical record. There are learning labs for coding classes, which are basically extra instructors and help for free on the campus. Taking a certification exam requires extra studying beyond the degree program and if someone does not know how to code after this program then they probably were not paying attention or doing the work because I know from experience there is a lot of coding to be done in these classes.
