I went into the Circuit City in Thousand Oaks today and purchased a Panasonic In-Dash CD Player (CQ-C8303U) PAN CQC8303U and Sirius, radio and a 4 year warrantee and 5 1/2 hours later, waiting the entire time, the installer said the radio needed more extras to work and would not work as sold to me. He said the salesman and manager did not know enough to be selling these systems as they did not have the knowledge when I asked for the manager he first said he would adjust the price for the mistake.

Then he changed his mind and said he would split the cost of the extra part and it was not his fault but the salesman and other manager Dan as they sold it to me. Dan and the salesman sold me the parts that were in fact incomplete. I not only wasted 5 1/2 hours of my time but had to listen to the manager Dan say the other managers are idiots and he got mad and went home.

The next manager on duty, Aaron said he was told by Dan that he would have to charge me another $50.00 for the part as it was needed to complete the install. They had my Jeep apart and figured I would say ok. I said I was not only quoted a price for the complete system plus installation which was advertised as being free, a 4 year protection plan but charged for everything upfront and was told that's all I needed for Ipod, Sirius Sat Radio and Aux inputs.

The installer had to take apart a display to rob one part needed to install the system and said he was missing screws that should have been included in the radio. He was complaining about the way the store was being run. He said he was new and the only installer, the install shop did not open until 2:30 PM today, I had a 2:00PM appointment which was given to another customer because the install was faster. The installer said he was not fast and had been fired from Best Buy for working on his own car on company time. He said he was given $15.00 per hour because they couldn't find anyone else and was still learning how to install and had never done a car like mine. I am going to contact the Ventura County DA in the morning to file a complaint of bait and switch which seems to have cost CC already once for advertising fraud.

I as well as my family have spent a lot of money in your stores for many years but that has now come to an end. Your own manager is bad mouthing the other managers, the company and the installer is bad mouthing the manager and the salesman. Bad situation but I will let my community know starting in the morning.

I intend on making as much noise about this as possible and hope I can turn away as many customers as possible during not only this Holiday Season but after. Your employees wasted my valuable time and made me look like an idiot! What your employees of Thousand Oaks CC did to me is not only illegal but bad business. As I am in the media I will be sure to use my resources to spread the word. BTW my ticket number was XXXXXXXXXXX. I tried calling your 800-251-2665 and was placed on hold after waiting for 45 min only to have the call answered and then but on hold for another 30 min, I finally hung up.

I contacted Sirius Radio to complain too as they lost a customer and they are not happy and said they would be contacting Circuit City and the local Rep.

I expect compensation for my lost time and humiliation.

"He said he was given $15.00 per hour because they couldn't find anyone else and was still learning how to install and had never done a car like mine."

The installer let you know he didnt know what he was doing? If I were you, being in the media and all, I would, on the news, take my car to a mechanic and get him to look over my car and make sure nothing was wrong with it since Circuit City is allowing people who obviously havent been properly trained to install items.

Then I would take the bill to Circuit City and see if they pay it while being filmed. If not I would simply stand outside the store with the news crew and ask customers going in what they thought of what they did to you-lets see if they decide to actually go in or turn around. I didnt even get the full purchase price back on the item they misrepresented, but if I could get money for the time I spent on the phone with them that would be fantastic.
