Curry's Auto Service Lie! "You need a new rotor". Great Falls, Virginia
My daddy went for state inspection for his car (31K miles) barely used, Allan Harlan, the general manager at Reston & Great Falls , tricked my daddy for repair the front brake, threatening him by implying that he need all the service they listed, or he is not allow to drive the car legally or he is experiencing immediately danger.
Besides front brake pad, the repair list also include replacing the rotors for $400 as well . which is totally not necessary. But obviously it is necessary for Allan Harlan to put his hand deeper in my daddy's pocket.
My daddy is 72 years old, living with my mom on social security benefit and Retirement savings, which did not stop Allan Harland from cheating and robbing him.
I called yesterday, Jared, another service advisor admitted, that it was not needed to replace the rotor, but "we generally do them together, or we will not honer their warranty"
A couple of month back, I myself went to another Curry's store for inspection at Chantilly, they did exact same thing, the only difference is I firmly rejected any service. two weeks later, I got my front brake pad replace for $80, the technician from the dealer shop told me: "you do not need any new rotor, period."
"you do not need any new rotor, period."
