Complaint Review: CURTIS SCOOTER ELLIS

I won an auction on ebay for a custom paint job on JULY 24, 2003. I contacted this guy(scooter) and he told me to send the money and my tank and fenders and he would paint them for me. So I did.

When scooter got my money and tins he told me that I would have them back by the middle of AUG. He talked nice to me the first couple of times and then by the end of AUG. I had a hard time getting ahold of him.

Everytime I got him to answer my emails, He had an excuse as to why he had not gotten my paint set done.

The firstexcuse was that his wife got cancer, then he got sick and was in the hospital but while he told me that he was in the hospital he was emailing my me who he thought was my wife.

He told me that my paint set would be done for sure for BIKETOBERFEST in DAYTONA (NOT). Then he told me that it would be done before THANKSGIVING (NOT).

I never heard from him until I filed a complaint with the SC police dept. He emailed my wife telling her that I had broken the contract and that she would have to send a total of $1,500 to get the paint set that is ready.

The police dept. in SC told me not to answer any emails or phone call from scooter. The next thing I know, the police had arrested him on about 9 counts of fruad and I don't know what else.

I have been fighting with this guy for 7 months trying to get my tank and fenders back. I hope you can do something with this guy?
