I to feel like I have been taken advantage of from this company. I signed up for six months of personal training and was under the impression that I would stop being charged after the months ran out. Well little did I know that for the last couple of months I have been charged and this stuff isn't cheap.
I contacted Custom Built that is in my gym and spoke with the new General Manager. I told him that I have continued to be charged and he informed me that when I signed my contract I initialed some where that stated they will continue to bill me after my six months are up unless I send a writen note to the billing company 30 days in advance to cancel. I told him that I was unaware of this and he asked me who I signed my contract with. I told him the name (of course the guy doesn't work there anymore) and I was told that this person was not letting people know this when he was going over the contract with them and having them sign.
The new General Manager stated that he has been made aware of the situation by other victims as well. Needless to say that is BullS***! He told me I needed to send a written letter to the billing company. I called the billing company who stated that they need something in writting before they can stop billing me. So now I am going to get bill for Feb and hope that they get my cancelation before they can bill me for March. Another company scamming individuals out of money.

Custom Built Personal Training provides personal training services to health club members, and primarily sells six- and twelve-month term contracts with a month-to-month auto-renewal intended to benefit our clients. When many of our clients commit to a six- or twelve-month personal training agreement, they are unsure of how long they will ultimately train with the company--many clients train with us for several years. The auto-renewal guarantees that the client's rate will never increase, and allows the client to continue training with us on a month-to-month basis with us without having to commit to another term contract.
Our managers are instructed to explain these benefits to every client that elects to purchase a personal training package from Custom Built, and managers who do not properly explain the auto-renewal portion of the agreement are reprimanded.
If this client feels that she was misled regarding the auto-renewal portion of her contract, I invite her to call me at the number provided to this website and we will issue an immediate refund.
