Complaint Review: Custom Mortgage Solutions

In December 2005 I applied online at lendingtree.com for a refinance of my home. After a few minutes I received an offer from CMS and directly from a man named Jerimiah Philips who claimed to be a V.P. there. He called me later that day and promised me 30 year fixed mortgage with no points at a 5.25% interest rate. After I got him all my documents and paid for his fees on my credit card he then jacked up my rate to 6% and charged me 3 points. I called him later that week because surely this must be a mistake and he told me straight up "Take it leave it or leave it, either way I have your credit card payment already" When i asked to talk his boss or the owner, he then told me he runs the joint and to "quit bothering him" I called back several times that day and was some how always directed back to him. Some of the comments he made to me were "What are you stupid? I told you take it or leave it I don't have time for $100,000 deals like yours" When I told him that I'll be reporting him to lending tree, his response was that he runs that too and he'll delete my file before he has a chance to hang up on my "black a**" This V.P. over there sounded like a 12 year old little girl and you can tell he was the kind of guy that lives in his moms basement, watching star trek, and hasn't gotten a piece of tail in his entire life! I would like to warn everybody to stay away from him and the slimy way he does business there. Needless to say I walked away from that deal and since refinace thru superior mortgage at a decent and PROMISED interest rate. I have since reported him to lendingtree.com and also to the FTC who have him under silent investigation. But to any potential homeowners STAY AWAY FROM CUSTOM MORTGAGE! Nick Fairfax, California
