I hired Mr. Dukes to do a bathroom remodel in approximately late April 2006. Upon arrival all of the demolition was complete and the floor was open. He gave me an estimate of $750.00 to do the re-pipe (including all incoming and outgoing water and drain lines). It took him over two weeks to complete the job. I had to call him numerous times to come back and continue working on the job.

On May 12, 2006 he stated to me that the rough-in was complete and to call him back to install the shower, toilet and sink. Well, there was no way I was calling this man back. I had to needle him to finish the original job. I paid him the $750 and thought I was done with him.

Well, needless to say he never ran the drain line to the sink or the cold water line to the toilet. I called him back when I found out that those lines were never run. He said "you put in the drywall?". I said, yes, you assured me the rough-in was done! "Oh he stated now I am going to have to cut into the new wall". What a mess.

Well, here it is now JANUARY 2007 (8 MONTHS LATER) and he STILL HAS NOT COME BACK to finish his job. I have called him numerous times, showed up on his doorstep and talked to him face to face and keep getting one lame excuse after another why he can't come and finish the job.

DON'T EVER CALL MR. DUKES for a plumbing job. You truly will be sorry. Unfortunately I will have to pay another plumber now to fix his mistake.

Mr. Dukes finally sent one of his employees to finish his job on February 5, 2007! He gave my back door key to this man (I don't even know who he is - never met him). He did run the drain line to the sink and the cold water line to the toilet, finally. But he cut a big hole in my new drywall and did not patch it. Now I am going to have to call someone to fix the drywall. Also he never gave me my key back to the back door. I have called Mr. Dukes repeatedly with no return call to offer the return of my house key. I have re-keyed the back door to the tune of $60. What a mess. Today I have filed a formal written complaint with the FL Department of Professional Business Regulation and Licensing against his State License. 9 months to complete a rough-in on a bathroom is way too long.
