i received a check in the mail last month in a home depot envelope.  i was told to deposite the check and to call back when it cleared to collect the rest of my lottory winnings, well, to say the least the check bounced and i was stuck with a $12 NSF fee from my bank.  i did report them and i can't remember the exact company name right now but it is based on a lottory winning scam.

now today i get another check in the mail from this company called css or customer survey services pretending to represent safeway inc.

the check was for me to become a secret shopper.  i am sent a check in the amount of $1,980.50

the letter reads like this,"congratulations: this isto inform you that you are hired to participate in our paid "Mystery Shoppers program,  and so on. I realized this was another one of those frauds when I read the part giving me two assignments, the first of which was to evaluate western union.  fill out the form for up to $1,480.00 plus $100 service charge.  and the receiver's name would be the person you call from the letter.  send it to London England, then call in for your next assignment.  what a scam.

never trust these checks.  check the company out online or even call the bank to verify the check is legitamate in order to at least avoid NSF fees if you deposite the check and it bounces.
