I got a toy poodle from this website almost 3 years ago. She was extremely tiny ( which is normal i know!) but im talking almost less than a pound tiny. We had the dog for a couple hours and noticed that she began to scratch and itch ALL THE TIME, im talking non-stop for hours on end. Within a couple of days the hair on her ears had completely fallen off, her ears were crusting over and bleeding and she would cry all through the night. We took her to the vet, who said she had a mild infection and prescribe some kind of ointment. we used it for a couple days and sure enough her ears started to get less crusty ( and we had put a cone on her head so she couldnt itch) however the rest of her body started to lose hair and was became completely inflamed.. and then WE GOT IT. my skin was itching nonstop i was in the shower for hours the water was so hot to stop the itching that my skin began to peel.

Finally i took the dog to another vet. ONE look and she knew she had scabies! immediatly i contacted christian who actually ended up paying the first bill which totalled $120.00 ( she had to have a series of three shots at $100 a pop not including the normal charges) . however.. i also contacted the other owners of the litter we had gotten and the other puppies had also had the scabies. I feel bad that my dog had such a rough beginning, she is happy and healthy now. I believe though that this man does run some kind of puppy mill, it doesn't seem ethical or right to offer so many varities of dogs at such a CHEAP price ( go figure they are in texas) I would NEVER EVER EVER recommend this site to anyone, or any site for that matter. I've learned my lesson the hard way of knowing your breeder and trusting they treat their mothers right... please do your research and find out about the people ( unlike me ) and make sure that all the dogs are treated the way you would treat your own. they deserve to live a good life... they arent just puppy machines. thanks for reading and good luck.

I contacted Christian a month before I want a puppy around Christmas time of 2007, I had a puppy all picked out and a week before the pup was suppose to come Christian emailed me and said"I know your gonna hate me but I cant ship you the puppy you picked she has fallen a little ill and she needs to get a complete bill of health before she goes to her home". He asked did I want to wait or pick another pup.
I was disappointed and had to choose another puppy but I was touched that he thought of the puppy's health rather than making a sale like another breeder I came across when I bought my first puppy.
But I had an amazing experience buying for Christian, he answered every question I asked which was around 110 questions.
My friend was so impressed by how honest Christian was and how happy I was about getting my puppy from him that my friend chose this black puppy with white boot paws they both came days later and neither of them have every had any issues yet not one and they are 2 years old now.
My daughter is now in the process of finding her own house and when shes moved in she plans on adopting a whole litter from Christian.
But my point is I have a hard time believing he would sell a sick puppy, just from my experience with him, I had that puppy picked already given her a name, looked her video everyday just waiting for the 20th of December to pick her up from the airport and I got the email I was sad but was very secure on my decision to stick with cutepuppiesonline.
Go to his site you see around 8 pages of lovely stories, people thanking Christian for the puppy he brought into their lives(hundreds of pups) verses the 2 reports on this site you weigh the odds!

Love The Puppy I Purchased From CS Puppies

I don't know what sparked you to write this ripoff report 3 years after the fact, as it sounds like you have currently have a happy, healthy puppy that you love. Regardless, it sounds to me like your time would be better spent denouncing puppy mills rather than denouncing CS Puppies. The moral of your story is not that CS Puppies offered you bad service, but rather that puppy mills shouldn't be supported.

Now, I don't know whether CS Puppies sells puppy mill puppies- it's entirely possible.  Despite this, any logical person knows that it's always a distinct possibility that the puppies purchased from local pet stores, internet sites, etc. originated from puppy mills.  If you purchased your pet from someone other than the breeder himself, then you made a choice to take this risk, whether you were aware of it at the time or not.

Middlemen (the people purchasing and then re-selling or the people acting as liasons between buyers and sellers) have many definitions for what they consider "puppy mills".  For example, my local pet store claims to sell puppies that are not from puppy mills because all their suppliers are USDA registered breeders.  Truthfully, anyone who does about 10 minutes of internet research will learn that all law-abiding, commercial breeders (aka what you and I would call "puppy mills") are USDA certified.  Ultimately, what these puppy stores and anyone else who makes this claim is saying is that they aren't getting their puppies from the Amish and Mennonite breeders who are not USDA certified and are widely known for the abuse of their adult dogs/bitches and puppies.  I don't mean to stereotype, it's just unfortunately well-documented fact that these groups are callous and irresponsible breeders (google: Ammon and Elmer Zimmerman for recent example).

I also purchased a puppy from CS Puppies through their website about 2 years ago, a beautiful Maltipoo whom I named Lily.  In retrospect, I don't think I would make the same choice today, given the information I've learned in the last couple of years about commercial breeders and the dog population in shelters.  I say this not because I think that CS Puppies is a bad organization or that the puppies are faulty, but because I would rather visit local shelters and adopt a dog who is in danger of being put down rather than take the risk again of possibly helping to grow the puppy mill industry.  CS Puppies might actually be supplying dogs that are coming from small-time, careful, and loving breeders, but because I'm not able to meet the original owners myself, I have no way of verifying that.  Buying from them or anyone else besides the breeder directly is a risk.  I took the risk 2 years ago when I bought Lily from CS Puppies and I was lucky to end up with a maltipoo who exceeds the best qualities of both the Maltese and Mini/Toy Poodle breeds

Where you buy your pet is a personal choice and many people are happy with going to their local pet store or purchasing from an internet supplier- that's OK, it doesn't make them bad people.  To be honest, if someone does their research and makes the decision to do so, I would recommend CS Puppies based on my experience.  I believe that Christian cares about his reputation and about his business, so he's making every effort to ensure that the puppies he sells are double and triple checked for all discernable issues before allowing them to go home to their new owners.  He's available if a problem arises when the puppies arrive home and he honors the promises made in his warranty and agreement- you can't ask for much better when entering into this type of buying situation.

An apology from me but...

#4REBUTTAL Owner of company

Mon, January 25, 2010

Since it has been like 3 year from now and this person did not leave their full name just the way they left mine here, it is impossible for me to remember this specific case. There is more information missing here to support as evidence but I will glad to explain a few facts about scabies situations. I will not call the buyer a liar, but some people have the tendency to amplify the theory to try to make a point, I will explain this later.

If this puppy was shipped by plane, this puppy was fully inspected by a veterinarian who will obviously notice any crusty skin and of course any breeding from the skin, whether it is scabies (also called sarcoptic mange) or ringworm which is fungus.

If it was a pickup, I would have notice any scratching, missing hair or anything similar before released and would have notify and/or provided with lime sulfur for treatment.

Information: Scabies or sarcoptic mange is highly contagious between dogs, they may not show symptoms when they are young and sometimes the parents may not show symptoms either, it all depends on their immune system which help keep them under control, but if this puppy started showing symptoms after shipped, could be due to the stress which helps all kind of issues to appear. This is why we require all customers to take their puppy to the vet immediately after arrival/release to follow up if there is any current problem that our vet has not detected.

Scabies can be infected directly or indirectly.

Dogs can get infected just by going to a public park, by being socialized with other dogs, neighbor's dogs, going to pet stores, etc, etc, etc. It is very easy for this buyer point at a puppy mill behind when in reality diseases/parasites are everywhere, this is nature and always has been this way, just take a look a history. It sounds strange the way this buyer points at Texas seems kind of racist to me

Now, once the customer noticed something on the skin right away after they got the puppy they were supposed to be careful and NOT carry the puppy against their body. Due to our immune system we are not too prone to get it the way dogs do, so it is probable that could be a psychological side effect which is normal in our humans minds, however I will leave the possibility open.

This buyer said that they contacted the other owners of the same litters. I never released this information to them, I never do due to privacy policy rules so this sounds very strange to me, is this buyer using this phase to make this sound more alarming? I don't think she was able to contact them but if one puppy has it, chances are that the rest of the litter have it too.

As I said before, I don't have precise details about the puppy/buyer but all the time, whenever there is a problem, I am always there to help. Whether it is scabies, parasites, infections, anything, I'm very cooperative, as this buyer says she was reimburse for those bills. Life if never perfect, as much as we try sometimes something can happen and this is why we have and HONOR a warranty. To try to solve a problem or help. No system is perfect, trust me, you may spend thousands on a puppy and go through worse situations, but at least here we want to help and we will, this is how we made a wonderful reputation and it makes me feel sad when someone, specially when this person has been helped, complains about my site saying don't buy from him, instead of saying, I had a minor problem and Chris helped me with the situation and was very responsive with me. I think some need to change the way we evaluate a service, let's say, if I buy a product from Wal-mart, it is defective or it needs part, I call them or go back so them either give me a replacement or an exchange it. How should I feel about the transaction? Disappointed? I think I should feel grateful that they responded to my situation and gave me a support, resolution, solution to my problem and this is a positive ending. If I wanted to make it dramatic, I would mention in a blog the times I spent, The gas I spent to go back, my children crying for the broken toy, etc, etc. it all fall under the buyer's perceptive how you want to rate a service.

For your information, scabies experiences fall into 1% to 2% of puppies we have sold, this is a very low rate. Whenever it happens we work immediately y sending the customer all the medication needed and in 3-5 weeks the puppy back to normal (applied only once a week), and this is not a recurrent issue at all.

Now, gain, I don't have much of personal information about the buyer or the dog but I am truly sorry for any inconveniences you went through, nobody plans to have a hard time and despite all the efforts, bad things can happen, if it happens I won't be able to click a repair like a computer program, but I am very supportive to a problem, very communicative, and always willing to go an extra mile. Just don't call me a puppy mill because of this. You are not the only problem I ever had and I don't think you will be the last one, but I will try my best to help you that's for sure.
