I was recruited to work for Cutting Edge Marketing in Asheville North Caroline. (parent company is in Woodstook GA.).

Cutting Edge Marketing Dirrector Brandy West and Brandon Thomson Got me to quite my Job and make a career move with the promiss of a lot more money. I was struggling to pay my bills with my other job so this looked like the answer to all my hopes for me and my family. I quite my Job to go to work for Cutting Edge Marketing. After 120 days of working with Cutting Edge Marketing. The Director informed me that she was implimenting pay cut and minimals across the board for one of the New departments I was over. (Tour No Buys) Everyone had been hired at $12.00 an hour or $40. per sale.

Most were making about $120 a day till Brandy West and management team inplimented their bate and switch. They dropped all Tour no buy employees pay to $10. an hour with no $40 a sell. a person could only hit commition if they sold 20 or more deals in a week. (only one person could sell more than 20 in a week every so often) Let me show you how this pay cut works out. Before pay cut 19 sales in a week a person would make $760. for the weeks work. New pay scale 30 hour 19 sales. $300. This is a crime! These kind of actions done to employees will sink peoples ship, as it has mine.

I was a full time manager working 40 to 50 hours a week. My old job before Cutting Edge I was bringing home $650 a week. When I went to work for Cutting Edge Marketing I started bringing home $800 a week or better. Then I got my pay cut (or as they put it minimal requirments) and I got a pay check for $440 for a 45 hour work week. I pulled Brandon Thomson to the side and asked him if Upper management was pleased with my proformance. Brandon Thomson informed me I was "Doing a great job" I pleaded my case and told them I felt it was wrong to hire people at one pay rate then 120 days later cut their pay by 50% when you are happy with the work they are doing. Brandon Thomsom told me that he felt it was best that we just part ways.

I imformed him I could not afford to quite. The next day I was fired. Brandon informing me that he has spoke with Brandy West about me being un-happy with the pay cut. I was told she said "If he is not on board with the pay cut fire him we can replace him with a free ad on craigslist. I have sense  has to leave my life, wife, pets and home to find work elsewhere in the country. I'm a 49 maried man in a beautiful loving relationship with my wife. Now I sleep in a hotel room in Kansas doing door to door sales in hopes I can sell and send my wife enough money to not loose everything we have. Cutting Edge is a company that can not be trusted.

Also Cutting Edge Marketing has another Manager over customer service named Kelli Robinson who sells drugs from the office. While I was there two people got fired for informing Brandy West (Brandy and Kelli are "Very" close) That Kelli was selling drugs. Really in my hearts of hearts this is a company that sells Vacation Club memberships and if anyone knows anything about vacation clubs you know they are a marketing scam company.

I need to know if there is anything I can do? Do I have any rights? Did Cutting Edge violate my rights or law in any way? Is it legal to do what they did  to employees?

Not everyone is cut-out for Kirby. When people fail they do not point a finger at themselves.

I just got done reading all these terrible stories about the Kirby ofice experiences. I worked for Kirby for many years.(I have not worked for Kirby in about 10 years.  It is not an easy job. Kirby's are sold the "Old Fashion Way" door to door. This is why a sales person can make very good money selling Kirby's, as I did. Just like most work places there are workers that slack off, bring their personal problems to work including bad habits and so on. It is often said in Kirby that they are in the people development business. Kirby is a 100% American made product and they are always looking to promote people to Factory Distributors from with-in to keep Americans working. The more FD Kirby has the more Kirby's will be ordered from the factory hence creating more jobs for Americans. There is a weeding-out process. I have met people in Kirby that answered the same ad as all the complainers did and today they are FD making $100,000 a year and better.I answered the same ad. Sense Kirby exstends opportunity to everyone that is willing to try to better themselves this can become problematic.( Kirby now does background checks so the problem with dealers has gotton better) A strong person comitted to their own success will be able to make it pass the people that are only giving it a try. (you don't try Kirby. Kirby tries you.) When you go into Kirby you have to go into it with the mind set that you are opening your own business. I just want to say Kirby had been very good to me and my family. I had weeks that I made next to nothing and sometimes nothing. I also had weeks that I made $3,000.00 I have made $1,000 in a day many many many times.I started working Kirby in 1987 and in 1988 I filled texes on $46 thousand dollars I made in Kirby. My last year in Kirby I made $78 thousand. I have been in van crews that sucked. I got out of them. I had to protect my business selling Kirby's. The President of the Kirby compamy started out as a dealer on a van. The president before him started out as a dealer in a van crew and guess what? They have made millions of dollars in Kirby, and are worth millions today. So all these people saying you can't make money in Kirby where just not cut-out for this type of work and they have a problem understanding that if it was meant to be it was up to them the whole time. In closing I would like to say I have had my Kirby Home Care System (Kirby is much more than a vacuum) for over 20 years and it works better than any other machine on the market for home owners. It's worth A lot more than the high price it sells for. We all know a lot of sales people are jerks. Buy a Kirby only from a dealer that is professional and working to better their life. Not only will you be getting the very best home care system on the market you will be helping keep American factories open, insuring job for generations to come.
