On 6/9/2008 I purchased a First Choice Home Drug Test. This product advertises itself as 99.9% accurate. I took the test and it showed negative for marijuana. I even called Inverness (the makers of this products) and they verbally said it is definatly negative. She then also added their product has a 50ng cutoff. To add insult to injury even had the nerve to congratulate me. I then consulted with my doctor who told me not to rely on this test kit since it is not accurate. She followed it up by sending me to a large chain lab.

On Wednesday I received the results. 89ng. So according to what Inverness stated in regards to the cutoff this test should have shown a positive result.

After an argument with Lina the store manager at CVS she was unwilling to refund my money. It took me contacting corperate who made Lina reverse her decision. I just received $16.04 back on my credit card.

So let the public beware, CVS doesn't stand by the defective products they sell, refuses to remove defective products from their shelves and are just plain IDIOTS!!!!

Why did you buy a drug test from a store when you evidently already knew
you should show positive? And why go to your doctor later to get tested?
I work in retail and to be honest there are problems with your story. Did
you have your receipt? Could you prove to the manager that the test was
defective? We take products back all the time at my store, with a receipt or
with a valid complaint/reason behind the refund. I myself would not authorize
a refund on a drug test based on "I know I smoked it"... Quick way to get cash
and buy more weed?

Anyway, I would really have an issue believing this happened as you have stated.

Could you provide further information?
