I purchased my Cyberpower PC in August 2006 for a little over $1300. It's a pretty little gaming PC. I was thrilled when it showed up on September 15th 2006 at noon.

I hooked it up and had a blast playing my games and doing all my college research. That is until three months ago.
I have had the thing protected by CA and AVG (both of which were absolutely worth the $). Maybe two hours unprotected in which it was offline and or downloading the protection.

Well out of the blue the thing starts freezing, all the time. But when I go to restart, the monitor acts like it's not on, then the tower freezes up (you can tell by the lights and sound). So, first things first. I go to reformat the computer, it locks up half way through. I stopped and called Cyberpower. No one answers, the machine hangs up on me. I send them an email through there service on the website. Confirmation that I have set up on my email account arrives, thus, someone HAS read it. OR at least opened the thing.

I do one or the other, sometimes both, every week. Still no answer. I have asked for just a copy of my warranty statement. No reply.

Did they close for the winter? I don't know.
Either way, I have a lovely paper weight.

Tonight I called and left a message on the general tech support machine telling them my name, order number, and phone number (everything that was in my emails), and that I would like someone to call me about a refund. Lets see if that works... My guess is not. My guess is THIS is what it will take, or a lawyer. Either way I'm going to do it.

I wanted you all to know this. Don't buy from them. Or at the very least, don't give them all the money upfront as I did. I bet they'd listen if a payment didn't come in.
I plan to take my refund and or settlement to a different company who is reputable. And yes, I plan to continue to tell every gamer I know not to deal with these people.
