CyberRebate.com Cyber Internet Rip Off
I ordered a Tweety umbrella from Cyber Rebate in January 2001 for my daughter's birthday. It was $32.99. A bit steep even for a nice umbrella but if you get the rebate, who cares.
Well the umbrella arrived and it was a cheap umbrella, not worth $32.99. I sent my rebate form in, with the receipt, exactly the way they asked to be sure I got the rebate.
I periodically checked the website for status of my rebate and it keeps saying in process, etc. Well finally it says that my rebate had been processed and I can expect my check May 25. Well they filed for bankruptcy on May 16. So there goes my rebate I guess!
On their website it says that they will do all they can to get money back to people. Likely chance of that with them owing money to huge corporations; them and the lawyers will come first, forget about us little people who have been completely ripped off!
The sad thing is they are still doing business offline. The problem is you can't find an address for them anywhere.
