Cyberzone, Henry and Suzan DeButts CyberZone Inc, Cyberzone Hawaii, Nationwide Exchange, First Nationwide Exchange Abusive and Hostile Service, Threatened Me and Destroyed Computer Equipment, Couldn't Get a word in edgewise Honolulu, Hawaii
I had an awful experience with a computer repair company in Hawaii called Cyberzone, which is owned and run by Henry DeButts and wife Suzan Forbes. I hired them to fix a computer that they had previously worked on that would not start up anymore. After they inspected it, I was told it was either the motherboard or the chip. Suzan quoted me a price of about $150 to fix. And she said there would be no labor charge this time around. I told her that was nice of her but I dont expect them to work without being paid for labor so I agreed to pay them $200.00 since she said she would pick it up in town if I dropped it off at my friends office.
When it was all done Henry called to tell me I owed him $370.00. This was double what they quoted me so I questioned it of course. He said both parts were bad so he had to change both to get the computer running again. I asked why they didnt give me a phone call prior to doing the work since they knew we agreed on $200 and it wasn't really worth fixing it at double the price. I thought I was doing them a nice gesture by offering to pay them $200 rather than $150, but that made no difference at this point. Henry was short and snappy at me because I was not happy with double the charges. So I asked to speak to Suzan since she quoted me the price. So she gets on the phone and starts hollering and yelling that she will keep the price at 200.00, like she was doing me a favor or something. Really?
I tried to calm her down by saying I just would have appreciated a call in advance so I could have decided whether to repair or not repair. Meanwhile I was contemplating just paying it in two payments if theyd agree to that just to get the computer back and end this ordeal. But there was no way to ever get a word in edgewise. She just railroaded over me like a non stop runaway mouth on turbo charge. She then amped it up more by threatening to strip the new parts out and drop it back off where they found it. OMG No please! I tried to stop her rampage and this ridiculousness and calm her butt down but it was hopeless. Her non stop outburst from hell with all the threats was unstoppable and nothing was going to break into that dramatic rant. By now I was just spinning and I had a bad feeling about how this whole thing would end.
Despite how much I tried to plead with her to stop the nonsense and despite my efforts to try to make resolution, I could not penetrate at all this rant from h**l. I just wanted to pick up my computer and get away from them. I finally gave up on her and I hung up so aggravated at this despicable behavior. Somehow I was hoping she would come to her senses after she shut up and got some rest. No such luck. About an hour later I got a call from my friend in town saying Suzan just dropped off my computer and said no charge and she stripped out all the repair and parts they installed and it was back the way they got it, unusable. Helllloooooo! At this point I just lost it.
They were destructive and ruthless and it was pathetic to see adults behave like this. I have never seen this sort of ridiculousness before and it truly violated and disrespected the integrity of my computer equipment. They opened it up after it was working again and stripped out parts in a fit of rage and under a mode of attack and this was unacceptable. What a huge waste of time and effort and sanity . that I will never get back.
I just want to warn anyone who uses this company Cyberzone Hawaii to beware because this couple is not well and they seriously need anger management help and people skills. This was an agonizing experience and I would not recommend this company to anyone.
I give them a Grade "F" for FAIL.

This is hilarious that they are coming back almost 2 years later to rebutt this and no doubt they have their facts all messed up. I will not participate in this ridiculousness.
They quoted me a price and then tried to double it on me and thought I would not notice. They were unprofessional and they were fighting and hostile and husband and wife definitely had a lack of communication between them. I was unfortunately caught in the middle of their matrimonial crisis. Whatever this couple had going on in personal issues was just not my problem and it should never have been passed onto their customer. My version stands as it is and it was accurate then and it is accurate now. It was a bad experience and it was just BAD BUSINESS.

Gabby called us to help her repair her computer. She reported her computer would not turn on and she was stranded and had no transportation. She was desperate to have it fixed ASAP.
We agreed to go pick up her computer (at no extra charge) and bring it to our shop immediately for service.
When the computer arrived, we diagnosed the problem down to a blown out mainboard and also a dead AMD CPU chip.
We made a special trip to another computer company to buy the AMD mainboard and AMD chip to replace the damaged parts. While there, we had their technicians verify our diagnosis and confirmed that neither the mainboard nor the CPU chip would post (start). We bought both items for $150 from that store. We returned and replaced the defective parts; her system was now working again normally.
Our hourly rate was $75 per hour. We chagred her for a 2 hour job (even though it took much more time than 2 hours). The parts cost us $150 and the labor was $150.
Total would have been $300. Gabby protested the charges; she said we should do the labor for $50. She offer us $200 total. We declined the offer.
When she realized we were not going to accept her offer she became hostile. After attempting to reason with her and failing. We informed her that we would gladly remove the new parts and return her computer to her exactly as we received it.
We then removed the new parts; put back her original partsand delivered the computer back to her. We never agreed to give her free service. We lost time and money. We don’t ever want another customer like this.
We told her our service rates up front.
We agreed to pick up her computer for no extra charge.
We diagnosed and informed her of the problems with her computer.
We received her permission to repair it.
We located replacement parts and purchased them at our expense.
We repaired her computer as instructed.
She refused to pay the labor costs, she wanted the entire job done for $150 total.
We removed the parts and restored her computer to its original condition.
We delivered her computer back to her for free.
We left a note inside the computer for the next technician describing the problem with it and the exact parts it would need to repair it.
