Complaint Review: CYC Autotech Inc.

CYC Autotech Inc. of Richmond BC Canada is autoshop who has smartly placed a yellow page ad with all their credentials stating they are AIRCARE certified. Upon bringing the vehicle to MR.Chung (Head technician) I asked him several times if he was certified aircare technician and if there were any problems that the car would fail the test, he would honour the repairs. He said he knows what he is doing and it will pass for sure assuring me that he was certified while pointing to certificate on the wall too high for anyone to read and pretty dusty from many years ago I guess. There were sure signs of a scam, first of his highly positioned certificate, no other cars around from previous clients,outdated CO testing gas and older machinery.

The car was tested at a government testing facility where it failed badly so I took it back to CYC Autotech where they said to me that the car is too old, it will need lots of new parts and I should leave it for a week. After a long arguement getting nowwheres, I stormed off to another bigger chain auto garage where they did their adjustments and it passed with flying colors and at half the price of CYC Autotech Inc.

I strongly suggest to anyone who reads this, to always check around to several places and stick with the bigger names as they are most likely to less rip you off.
