Cycle Brothers Memphis Hough Ten months of hassle and lies San Diego California
On May 29, 2013, Memphis Hough owner of Cycvle Brothers in San Diego, picked up my 1973 Honda Motorcycle using his truck to "tune up" and place new tires on my motorcycle. Over the next ten months while my motorcycle was in his poseesion, I have over fifty text messages and phone voice mails from Kimberly Hough and Memphis Hough stating my bike is almost done but did you want it detailed, etc. Always an excuse!
Finally on March 11, 2014, ten months after he picked it up I told Memphis enough was enough and I am driving to your address to pick it up myself. After many excuses, he showed up late with my bike in his truck in an alley. The address he finally gave me the day of the pick up was a car collision repair shop and when I went in, all who worked there said negative comments about Memphis and Cycle Brothers.
Upon seeing my bike, I wanted to cry. I found a different lose gas tank, broken side panels, fuel lines disconnected, filthy dirty condition, broken wires, etc. The police came and said it was a civil matter. Memphis wanted $1,200.00 cash and did not produce a work order or invoice. I could not pay that for I did not know if there was sand in the crank case or what he did. It as not in running condition.
I asked Memphis why the damage and why the incomplete work after 10 months. He said without looking at me while taking a puff on his cigar in an extremely sarcastic tone,"You rushed me". To date he has sent the DMV and me a notice that I owe him $36.00 a day since May 29, 2013 and that a Lien sale was scheduled. I have the BBB, DMV, California Bureau of Auromotive Repair along with the DA, legal counsel and SDPD investigating this man. As you can imagine, I was very fearful and scared!
Do Not do business with Memphis and Kimberly Hough. aka Cycle Brothers. In my opinion, they run a dangerous, illegitmate, unethical busin under the name of Cycle Brothers, which is not a legal business, They are a destructive force to the motorcycle repair industry. A severe penalty should be given them for their terrible rip off business. How dare them!
