Cynthia Sisemore Horse Buying Scam Foiled. this time Internet
I have a horse I have raised for sale online. I was approached via internet about selling said horse to a woman named Cynthia Sisemore for her son. She was always very polite and seemed to have some trouble with her english. We exchanged e-mails for several weeks before she overnighted me a check.
I was suspicious b/c I had never met her and immediately took the check to my bank which recommended I take it to the bank that had issued it. I did and they informed me that it was counterfeit and confiscated it to send to their security department.
I did not loose my horse or have to pay any fees, but I was lucky. I almost ignored those gut feelings but I'm so glad I didn't!!!!
Please be careful!
