Contracted with D'Best to install laminate flooring in two upstairs rooms. Work crew was industrious, and did a fair job of fitting the laminate, but within days, the joints began to fail. Months went by before the company responded favorably to my repeated calls. An independent inspector confirmed what I suspected: that during installation, the crew damaged the locking joints on the laminate pieces. My guess is that they were never given proper training on the installation process required for locking laminate floors.

The company never conceded it was their fault, despite the report results, but did offer to fix the problem. Unfortunately, their idea of a fix was to apply wood glue to the failed joints. This provided a temporary fix, but various joints continue to fail to this day, and re-gluing failed joints  has become a monthly routine for me. I'm determined to make this floor last a couple of years before replacing it, just as a matter of principle. And next time, I will certainly not be lulled by promises of low prices and guarantees that are never realized. You get what you pay for, which in this case was poorly trained workers and lackluster customer service.
