D-Link Rebate scam El Paso Texas
I purchased a computer system and accessories in Nov 2007. This came with several mail in rebates. 3 of the 5 rebates were paid with no issues. Norton anti-virus tried to avoid paying by claiming I didn't send it the right information. After calling them, they paid as well.
D-Link claimed I did not send in the correct information. After calling them, they suddenly found the information I sent and agreed I qualified for the rebate and I would have a check within 4 weeks. 6 weeks later I called to check on the status. I was told it was approved, but was being processed. It would take 4 weeks to receive it. Apparently, this company does not pay their rebates at all. They are either the most incompetent company around or the most dishonest. Avoid their products. Also, let the retailers that sell their products know that thier reputations are on the line by promoting D-Link scams.
