Complaint Review: D & W Paving

This man came to my home while I was away, and saw that we needed work done on our driveway. My husband is disabled, he talked with the man and agreed to pay him to extend our driveway. He made a big deal of telling us that he attended and worked in the church we had visited recently. He talked about it on and on.

When I came home, he was just finishing up and I knew right away something was wrong. The driveway was shorter and narrower than he had promised, about 4 feet in each direction. The gravel is spread so thin, there is grass growing up through it two weeks later.

The long and short of it is: he used a local well known church to get our address and information, he brought a small load of gravel, he promised that it was plenty to do what we wanted done, he charged us $550 which is about twice what this was worth.

I never would have agreed to let this man work on anything, but my husband has a real soft spot for people trying to witness and serve God. This man has "Jesus Saves" painted over the front grill of his truck, and talks, talks, talks about being a christian. He's not Christ-like in his business dealings at all.
