Bought Jeep Liberty in November 2004 at a "5 Star Chrysler Jeep" Dealership (Airpark Chrysler Jeep in Scottsdale). Asked dealer about "College Graduate rebate" which Daimler Chrysler offered on their website in 2004. Website said "$ 400 rebate for College graduates". Dealer gave us the rebate and charged our credit card at the same time in the amount of $ 400. Dealer explained he would reverse these charges as soon as Daimler Chrysler would give him the $ 400.

We never got our security deposit back. Wrote letter to Daimler Chrysler's "Program Headquarters" and received a nonsense answer saying that we received "The preferred price". If we had any other questions we should call them. No information if the dealer had ever submitted the application for the College Graduate rebate, letter did not even mention the College Grad rebate. When calling them up Program Headquarter said that the $ 400 rebate was something between us and the dealer, they don't have anything to do with it. When we asked them about their website the lady (supervisor) said that there had never been a college grad rebate for $ 400 on their website. When I offered her to send her a copy of the printout I made before going to the dealership in November 2004 she said that there was probably a mistake on their website.

We feel that this business has cheated us and they are no better than any criminal who grabs your handbag and steals $ 400 from you.
