I applied to a secret shopper job. I was approved and told that i would receive a package with typed instructions to evalute a local CVS and report back my findings. The package was received. It was NOT for cvs but a check in my name for the amount of $2,865, The letter was on generic copy paper. No letter head. I was to use this money at Money Gram in my area. The intstructions were to cash at my bank. $300 would be my payment. $165 would be used for fees. $1200 was to be sent as a money gram to a John Barnes in Cyprus(euro) A 2nd $1200 was to be sent to a Frederick Smart in Cyprus(euro) $1200

My guidelines were to evaluate the Money Gram location. How long it took to get service. Ambiance, smartness of the attendent, Customer servcie, Comments and impression. This became concerning when A specific location or name was never given. The fact that the money grams were sent out of the country was alarming. The verbage and tenses used in this letter were also incorrect. After continued research, a post was found with the exact same info and situation. I also did not cash the check. Please be advised if encountering this situation.
