last year we had dan come to our home and resurface our pool. we paid him half then paid the rest when the work was complete. the pool looked great for a couple of months, it then began to peel!!!
we called and left messages several times. sometimes we called 10 times a day. (we were promised a lifetime warranty). he has yet to call us back.
the pool is getting worse all the time!!! i just want my pool fixed. it is peeling everywhere, and rust is comming through the gelcoat. the grout is comming off around the tile.
we found him at the arlington home and garden show. he was supposed to have 19 years of experience.
it is a shame when you pay over 3000$ for nothing!!!! this man has to be stopped!!! i am currently trying to file a claim against him with the tarrant county da. please let me know if anyone can help me.

I was deceived as well by Dan Ward. With me, he used AAA Pool Services as his company name.
In January 2007, I received a bid to re-plaster my pool for approximately $3,000. He asked for 1/2 up front, with the final coming at completion. Instead of re-plastering, he suggested a gel-coat. He showed me several before and after photos. As he talked a good game, I did not call any references, unfortunately. The gel coat had a life time warranty so I felt good about it.
Unfortunately, two months after completion, the gel coat started peeling. In March 2007m I called him to repair it, and he said he would. After that, I received no response back, until I received a letter that he had filed for bankruptcy not two weeks after he did my job. I did some research and found out his attorney, and some other information. I called the attorney and he told Dan to call me which he did.
He stated that he was forced into bankruptcy due to some complaints, since he had gotten a bad batch of gel coat. He assured me he had a new supplier and would fix my pool after the summer months. Guess what, no answer. After reading all these posts tonight, I am fired up again. I do have his attorney's name and some other pertinent information that I would definitely share so we can stop him from damaging others like us.
