Complaint Review: Dan Herring

Mr. Herring was hired in May but did not show up for work until end of June. He demanded payments from day one on work he had not completed. Eventually he would demand payments on work he hadn't even started. Allowed Herring to use my credit line at local lumber yard. Huge mistake. Items purchased were obviously being used on other projects that he worked on and most likely billed clients for. 

Mr. Herring would show up randomly from July to November, work a few hours and request payments in order to return. Eventually I grew tired of his demands and requested he finish the items I had already paid him for. He became extremely violent and pounded me with abusive text messages. He showed up at my 75yr old mothers home late at night and proceeded to load his truck with materials and equipment.

When I called the police they were unable to verify what he had taken even though I showed them video of him taking the materials.

This man is violent and can not be trusted. He has been arrested before for stealing from job sites. I hired another builder who had to tear apart much of the work he did because the measurements where inconsistent and he was unable to correct the mistakes. 

Mr. Herring suggested he could preform many different functions but he really wasn't qualified to do anything and his work was extremely sub par.
