Daniel Combs Nothing more than a scam, a fraud. Don't bother opening! Internet
Well it started when I posted a resume on Craigslist looking for work. I thought it would be a great idea. Boy! How wrong was I.
Anyways, I received this e-mail (in my Spam Folder) from a gentleman named "Daniel Combs" saying he was looking for a Personal Assistant and that the position was available. Usually I would not respond to any Spam messages, but as naive as I was and desperate for a job, I did.
Feeling unsure, I asked for more information about the position. A couple hours later, I had gotten a message back with the responsibilitie for the job. And at the very end, he asked if I could provide him with personal information. Once again, I was naive so I sent him the personal info.
I later regretted the decision I made, and my stomach was twisting. But there was nothing else I could do. The information was sent, and I was an idiot. Just today, I had received yet another email stating the first task I had to complete. It stated the usual from other scams I seen...Cash the 2 checks at your bank, take the amount for compensation and wire the rest.
As suspicious as this was, I did some research. I went online and saw all these other posts similar to what I was going through. And lastly, I looked up a real postal money order from a fake....and that was how I knew I was scammed.
I really just hope that these scam artists are caught soon. So this cycle of scams can be stopped once and for all. And I pray that this scam does not happen to another person.
