Complaint Review: Daniel Rosapepe

This individual sent me several letters telling me I had an inheritance of millions of dollars from money that was unclaimed by any heirs of a hard working man that had become deceased. They were affiliated with a finance company supposedly that referred me to 2 of their own attorneys. I was given so many days to obtain documents to prove my identity which I acquired from Mr. Rosapepe. After several emails back and forth I was notified that I would have to travel to his hometown and pay an attorney thousands of dollars to obtain the final document needed to finalize the so-called inheritance. As I was wary of getting the necessary funds I was told if I didn't come up with it that the funds would be frozen.

He literally tried to push me into sending this large sum of cash to these attorneys I didn't know calling it processing fees to the persons holding the last official document and attorney fees in addition to spending more money I didn't have to travel there as I live on a fixed income. Its hard to tell what may have happened to me. And I feel so sad for the poor gentleman that had the same last name as I. This was only the first of 2 communications on such internet scams. Mr. Rosapepe had the private account number, access code to the account, the death certificate, etc. to the recently deceaseds info. I would hate to think that our private information is unsafe to these types after our untimely demise.
