Complaint Review: Darin Buterakos

As a single mother of three children, the last thing I expected was to be conned out of thousands of dollars by someone I hired to do irrigation work at my home in Wichita, Kansas. Unfortunately, this is exactly what happened when I called "The Sprinkler Guy," Darin Buterakos, after seeing his number on the side of his truck. Little did I know, he is a seasoned con artist.

Initially, Darin seemed like a really nice guy. He mentioned he was going through a divorce, and as time went on, he shared more and more personal details without me even asking, which seemed very odd. I was very skeptical about giving him the job, but it looked like he really needed the money. The initial job I hired him for was of very poor quality, and he had to keep coming back to my house to fix his mistakes. What a nightmare! Every time he visited, he was either late or had some excuse for not showing up. Towards the end of the business transaction, Darin Buterakos appeared to be on drugs, possibly methamphetamine. I could only think that he was using my hard-earned money to support his drug habit! When he could not fix the issue and warranty his work, he stopped taking my calls. After it was all said and done, I had to hire another irrigation company to fix the work Darin Buterakos could not do, which cost almost ten thousand additional dollars. The irrigation company that came out to fix the work of "The Sprinkler Guy," AKA Darin Buterakos, said that they all know this guy and his shady, deceptive work practices. Darin Buterakos has failed to make any arrangement to return the thousands of dollars paid to him and his company.

This then led me to do some research on Darin Buterakos. After conducting a criminal background search, I found that Darin Buterakos has felony convictions in other states. I would never have had this gentleman working around my house and kids if I had known he had a criminal history!

During one of his visits, Darin asked if I had cable TV. He told me he also provided residential television services in Wichita and offered me a great deal on unlimited cable service if I canceled my existing provider. It sounded extremely shady, and my research indicated that this was possibly illegal. The service he provided was called Gladiator TV, which offered Pay-Per-View with thousands of movies. However, it was always buffering, and when I confronted him about it, he blamed my internet connection.

When I decided to cancel my "subscription" with Gladiator TV, I continued to be billed for it. I had to dispute the charges with my credit card company to finally get my money back. After doing some research on Facebook, I discovered that Darin Buterakos has several other similar companies, including one called "Bro Streamz."

After doing more research on his illegal streaming services, I found that Darin Buterakos is operating and distributing illegal copyrighted content. This illegal activity not only defrauds content creators but also exposes his customers to potential legal consequences. His actions demonstrate a blatant disregard for the law and for the people he scams.

This entire experience has been a nightmare, and I hope that by sharing my story, others will be warned and avoid falling victim to Darin Buterakos and his fraudulent schemes. Always do your research and be cautious when hiring someone for home services. If you are in the Wichita, Kansas area, steer clear of Darin Buterakos.
