I had my 1997 Mitsubishi 3000gt listed on craigslist for sale @ $3500. Daryl Anness contacts me about a bike he had and offers trade. He claimed the bike had clear title and was never wrecked. He said the bike had 800 original miles on it. I agreed to look at the bike. The bike he was claiming to have was a 2008 Kawasaki ZX-6R.

He arrives in late afternoon with waining sunlight. The bike did indeed look brand new, however it was very hard to start and keep running. I assumed it was because of the temperature outside being 8 degrees. We get the bike started and i rode. I then checked the VIN for issues and it came back clean. The badges on the bike say ZX-6R. I decided to make the trade based off the avalable info.

A few days later i began poking around and looked at the title. The model number of the bike was strange and did not say zx-6r. Doing a google search i found out that the bike is actually a ZZR 600 valued at $1000 less than a zx6r. OUCH! If that wasnt bad enough, the carbs were shot due to many years of not running and failure to maintain a bike that was to be stored. Basically the carbs were badly gummed and needed rebuilt from sitting for years.

When the weather warmed up i made it out to the garage to scrutinize the bike farther. I found plastic broken under the bode and then noticed deep gouges in the left handlebar and brade level, as well as a crack in the coolant container. All of this i failed to notice when i first checked out the bike...well hidden.

Finally i got the title in my name and guess what? It's a salvaged title. This bike is not worth the car i traded for it. I planned on reselling the bike. Now i have no choice but to keep it and restore it...which i have already done.

Instead of the bike being worth $5100, it is now worth maybe $2000 even with the low milage. Thats assuming it was a zx6r. The zzr 600 was susposed to be worth $4000 with clean title.

So with a little logic we now know that Daryl Anness bought the ZZR600 brand new and wrecked it at 800 original miles. He let the bike sit in a garage wihtout taking care to drain the gas tank which ruined the carbs. He then got on EBAY and ordered a CHEAP replacement body kit for the bike. He most likely ordered a used body kit for a zx-6r since it bolts right up. He then contacted me wanting to trade claiming the bike was the more valuable zx-6r. He thought i would have never figured it out and i probably wouldnt have either, if it wasnt for the issues i found.

I now claim damages in the total of $6000. Thats $5100 for the ZX-6R i was susposed to be getting, parts and labor to get the bike in perfect running order again, and missing turn signals/mirrors and other misc items. I also claim an extra $3000 due to the fraud involved. Daryl Anness owes me a grand total of $9000 for the fraud.

One last thing to mention. Daryl Aness owns a tattoo shop Jadloc Tattoo n Piercing Dry Ridge, KY. This man is a bold faced con artist. Are you sure you want him doing anything permanent to your body? Something to think about.

The GT was in excellent condition. Daryl most likely red lined it for 10 minutes until it blew. Thats even IF MR. Daryl is telling the truth....and seeing as he has already been caught in a fraud.....he cant be trusted to tell the truth. I would bet MY CAR is in perfect health and there isnt anyting wrong with it.

Daryl You are a liar, con artist and a fruad. You have been called out on it. If the best you can do is lie to save face then you actually deserve everything coming.

And you do not own a multi million dollar business. I have already been scouting you. Also, after the topix post, it seems others have beef with you as well over the same scams. They say you act just like your mother.... Tell me daryl....was mommy a career criminal like her baby boy?

Do not trust this man. If he is willing to dump a wrecked bike on someone so easily (dress it up as a more valuable bike)...whos to say you wont get aids when you go get a tattoo from his shop? I mean if he is willing to lie and cheat someone out of a more valuable car, whos to say he actually cleans his autoclaves? These are things to think about when dealing with DARYL ANNESS.

I would be more than happy to trade for my car back, however you will owe me for ALL the work i have done to the bike. If you do decide this is best.....we will have a talk face to face.

Also i will not stop posting on topix, youtube, or places like this until i get satisfation. I will not stop until i get justice.

I run a multimillion dollar a year garage in Florence KY. This 1997 3000 gt was towed to my shop the same night Mr. Anness traded it as it would not stay running. Upon further investigation our ASE master technician found that someone had pieced a cold air intake system on my cutting and grinding pipes with in fact was not allowing the mass airflow sensor to measure airflow moving through to the throttle body. While under the hood we noticed 3 out of 4 engine/transmission mounts were either without proper bushings or only had pieces of bushing left. The wiring harness for the car was obviously no good and the previous owner must have known that because they had every single accessory and pump seperatley grounded to different parts of the car leave an open current out of the shorted ground. This being said the valve covers and oil pan gaskets and rear main seal were leaking very heavily. The vehicle had metal hanging out of 3 out of the 4 tires and the front and rear rotors were fully rusted through. Upon further investigation the front bumper clips had been snapped out and broken causing the front bumper to not be installed fully to the vehicle. The estimate of repair includes all of these things plus other minor things costing up to 6200 which is more than the car blue books for. In my firm belief I have done many craigslist trades and I have always taken way more than 1 day or first time seeing merchandise to sit back and think about a trade first. Being an ASE mechanic my self I fully check out any vehicle thoroughly and never trust anyone's word on condition and type.bi believe the gentleman trading the motorcycle used poor jusldgement and decided to go ahead and trade out of excitement for getting rid of a falling apart vehicle. Very little common sense was used in this trade. Personally Mr Anness has used 3 out of the 90 stores we own in the local area and has trusted us to do his work for years. With that relationship many of my employees and me myself have been tattooed by him and the work is impeccable constantly bringing me in compliments and the work environment is cleaner than any tattoo shop I've visited. I'm covered in tattoos and take who does them very seriously and couldn't be happier with his work. Thank you.
