It appears that this business in a Internet Scam. This company advertises that they will sell you an opt-in email/mailing list. They also claim to be able to do bulk emailing. This company has taken my money and did not provide the services that it promises on their site. After doing a google search of "data depot complaints",I find that Scott(if that is his real name) has lots of complaints and allogations of fraud. I discovered that that this address is just a UPS store. I'm not sure that they are located in the US. HELP stop this fraudster. This company took me for $584. I'm sure that once you check into this this scam will add up to millions. Thank you in advance for exposing this business for what it is.

When you call them to purchase (optiion 101) from them they answer the phone. When you call them after you buy, the voicemail(option 102) tells you that you must communicate via email. When signing the initial contract they try to get you to fax them a photocopy of your driver's license and credit card. They tell you that your money is non refundable and require you sign an additional contract after they have your money. At that point you are stuck. You've already given them your credit card info and they say no refund but if you don't sign the contract they won't perform the service. Little do you know, they are not going to perform the service and the email list that you get is worthless, outdated and full of bad email addresses.

First RED flag: After you sign up they want you to send them copy of your drivers license and credit card to complete transaction. Second flag: Calls are only answered on sales line (101) the other two line (102 & 103) you must communicate by email. Third flag: the promises on the website is totally different from what you are told once you pay your money. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. Unfortunately I paid them$584 and all I received is an email list that is supposed to be current and updated monthly. I attempted to send it out the very next day with the service they offer through their bulk email system and I'm still waiting for it to go out. Who knows how many of the emails are even valid. From other consumer complaints about this company, the list is outdated. BEWARE OF DATA DEPOT.
