Add another person to the list that got zapped by this company. I just noticed a $79.99 charge from them. Yeah, like many, I got suckered by that sucky Paris Hilton video. After watching it, I know I cancelled the initial membership well within they're 30 minute time limit. So I expected the $1.97 charge; however, I also got the confirmation saying I wouldn't be charged further. Guess again!

I'm working on the dispute with my credit card company right now. Thankfully this site has given me some fuel for the fire. I would like to see them "press charges" against me for doing what they consider against the law. Three words: JUST BRING IT!

Datesnow Pty Ltd, Brisbane: Playercash?

Just a quick follow-up about what that additional $79.99 charge is supposedly for.

First I want to thank Jason in Richmond, Ky for listing the phone number for PZEST.COM - the owners of Datesnow Pty Ltd. [It's 1-800-447-6439, in case anybody else needs it.] I called them up yesterday and they are supposed to be reversing the charge, but get this: They have also COMPLETELY cancelled my account as well. Well, at least that's what the lady I talked to said. Time will tell on both of these.

Turns out this charge was for something they call Playercash. Anybody who visited the site for that Paris Hilton vid should also have received an e-mail shortly after they cancelled the membership. [As Bart Simpson would probably say about that vid, "I didn't think it was possible...it both sucked & blew at the same time."] Yes, this was to confirm the cancellation from that site. However, it also should have informed you that you retained access to something called www.playercash.com. Playercash sites "allow you to receive any income" from marketing "the great collection of adult sites to your friends and acquaintances." [I am fortunate to have kept the actual cancellation e-mail I received; had a gut feeling I would need it later. Anyhow, the quotes are directly from this e-mail.] That membership would not expire unless requested and you were free to continue marketing those sites. However, that e-mail didn't tell you how to go about cancelling that access and you couldn't do it from the site they provided. I tried.

Powerzest IT, YOU NEED TO READ THE DEFINITION OF THE WORD "FREE!" Last time I checked, free in this sense means it shouldn't cost anything. Yeah, right! Also, let's call this "marketing" opportunity what it really is: Spam your friends and acquaintances with these sites. Sorry, I have too much respect for the few friends & acquaintances I have and I don't want to lose any of them. I'm sure they receive enough junk e-mails without me adding to the problem. [Now I would consider doing this to my enemies...if I could do it anonymously and if I kept it touch with them at all!]

Beware this company! I'm still putting together a dispute letter to my credit card company just in case the charge doesn't get reversed...or in case it shows back up again. I want to thank Jason again for listing the number. I also want to thank Rip-Off Report for providing a way to make others aware.
